What Are We Waiting For?!  Let's Go!

We're Jay and Valerie, two wanna-be world travelers who had never traveled abroad.  After years of saying, "We should go to Europe," one day we looked at each other and said, "What are we waiting for? Let's go!"  We've watched many of Rick's travel shows and read about his tours, so we knew one of his active tours was perfect for us (plus a co-worker had a blast on his Best of Spain Tour).  By the end of the day, we had signed up for the "Best of Sicily in 11 Days Tour."  Why Sicily?  We were excited about all the Greek and Roman ruins and a ton of other sensational locations and activities on this tour.

We came.  We saw.  We want to go back!

What an absolutely fantastic and memorable experience!  ​​​​The Best of Sicily Tour turned out to be everything we expected and so much more.  We stayed in comfy hotels, were driven around by a truly skilled bus driver, and learned oodles from our tour guide and local guides.  We discovered that this part of Italy is a fascinating place, rich with history, and so much to see and do.  Our photos show some of the delights of Sicily, from ancient Greek and Roman ruins to scenic harbors, from museums to historic cathedrals, from bustling city streets to quiet plant-filled parks and courtyards, from yummy Sicilian dishes like arancini -- our new favorite food -- to unique experiences arranged by Stephanie, our friendly and fun tour guide.  Bravo, Rick Steves' Europe, bravo!
